3 days in Norway
Oslo 1 day
Yup, at the end we stayed in Oslo only one day, the day we arrived. We went in December, so it was dark mostly all the day and the museums and places close around 5pm. Was a huge mistake don't check the opening times in advance to organised the day and see all places we wanted.
It was almost Xmas so the city was decorated with markets, ice rinks... and they were celebrating soon the Nobel prize, so you could find nice decors everywhere.
As I said, it was dark really early, so we decided to see first the outdoors places and then the indoors:
- Port: we wanted to see the fiords of Oslo but the water was too frozen, so we just walk there.
- The Vigeland Park and Froger Park: all the sculptures are really impressive. It's huge and it's really nice walk in the park, see all the statues. You must find the little boy, the wheel of life or the man with 4 kids.
- The Royal Palace: you can find there the guards and see their change. The Palace is located in a huge garden and we were there there everything was covert by a blanket of snow.
- Nobel Peace Center
- The tiger: you can find it outside the train station
- Opera House: The view from the top are amazing!
We didn't have more time to see anything else, and we regret of not going to the Vikings Museum.

Tromsø 2 days
This small city is in the north north north of everything. In here was night 24h a day, but the good thing is in this places the most important thing to do is: to chase the northern lights.
We booked a tour to see the northern lights, and it cost us £150/person which it included transport go and return, dinner, winter clothes and the tour. It's essential you have a manual/professional camera because if you don't, you won't see any colour in the sky.
It was -18 degrees, they gave us special clothes to be outside in the snow and a guide was with us all the night. We were in small groups of people with our cameras taking photos of the sky and at one point we took the car and we chased the lights to find the most shiny.
After a few hours they called us for dinner. It was an incredible experience, we were inside of a huge tent with a lot of people having dinner while the workers served us and cheer us up. The menu was: soap (as much as you want), hot drinks, bread and dessert. Everything was delicious.
You can also spend the night in the camp and do more activities like ride huskies and do a trip in reindeer.
The next morning we went out for a walk in the city, we saw the Cathedral, the bridge, the lake Prestvannet and the magic ice bar.
Transport:
- Airport-Oslo: by train 20 minutes and it cost one way £15/16€
- Oslo: walking
- Oslo-Tromsø: by plane 2h
- Airport-Tromsø: by taxi 10 minutes
